• Dress in layers and bring a jacket, as San Francisco weather can be unpredictable and cool, especially near the bay.
• Carry some cash or a credit card for the Muir Woods entrance fee (USD 15 for adults, free for children) and optional ferry ticket from Sausalito to San Francisco.

What’s not allowed

• Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage are not allowed on the tour or inside Alcatraz Island for security reasons.
• Pets are not permitted, except for registered service animals.
• Intoxicants and illegal substances are strictly prohibited on the tour and at all sites.
• Smoking is not permitted on the tour bus, ferry, or at any of the tour stops.
• Food and beverages are not allowed on Alcatraz Island, except on the dock.
